Event Horizon is a jewelry piece that highlights the beauty of oscillating movement. The aim of this project is to embody the symbolic properties of space within a wearable necklace pendant.

This piece is a literal and metaphorical embodiment of the quote. "If a black hole is an oyster, then the singularity is the pearl inside." (Romilly, Interstellar)

Five axis of rotation allow for the balanced gold rings to freely spin about the center pearl, resulting in a variety of beautiful compositions.

​

The movement and stacked aesthetic of the golden rings symbolize a black hole's accretion discs. The wearer will notice different patterns of light reflected off of the pendant as it spins freely.
